Best Web Application for Designers?

There are tons of web-based software applications out there for designers and we’d like to know what your favorite web application is. England-based printer ink specialist, Cartridge SAVE, and Six Revisions have teamed up to give one lucky voter an Epson R2880 Large Format Photo Printer. This professional-level photo printer is capable of printing at sizes of up to 13 x 9 inches with stunning clarity and rich colors.

To vote for your favorite web application, leave a comment below using the following format:

VOTE: [Name of Web Application]

Please use this format so that we may be able to easily tally the votes.

Voting will end on October 13, 2009 after which the comments section on this post will be closed. We’ll use your email address to contact you if you win. The winners will be randomly selected and announced on a separate post. Please note that comments that don’t follow the instructions on how to participate (described above) may not be published.

I know it’s not specifically for designers, but I can’t tell you the difference it’s made to my projects.

I’m a developer, not a designer, and often I really don’t need a lot of design tools – just a simple crop and resize. My vote is for Picnik.

My vote is for Basecamp. I worked for a global consulting firm and had to use what is now MS SharePoint and MS Project -which I can’t say anything good about. I have operated my own design consultancy for 8 years now and have used Basecamp for at least 5 of those years. It has saved my ass many times! http://basecamphq.com/

Why is everyone mentioning desktop apps when we are supposed to be voting on web apps?

I don’t think people understood the question, given the number of votes for Dreamweaver and Photoshop, which are desktop tools for making web applications.

I vote for FreshBooks and am surprised no one else has, since I know TONS of designers, developers and freelancers use it for billing. Couldn’t get paid without my FreshBooks! :-) http://www.freshbooks.com/
