30 Minimalist Portfolio Website Designs for Inspiration

There seems to be a recent trend whereby creatives are aesthetically stripping down their online portfolios to their bare essentials. (UK-based web designer/web developer Kean Richmond recently discussed this trend in an article about "undesign", and the possible reasons why this trend is becoming widespread.)

In this showcase, you’ll get to see 30 great examples of minimalist portfolio sites for your inspiration.

It is much harder to design a minimal design. Of course not all of them are not excellent. But some are amazing no 1. 2. 3
Thanks for putting this together

I like the number 5 design “Igor Zagnienski”. I think in portfolio you need to show how your website looks in mobile devices like iPad.

great examples. Simply a ‘trend’ or no, there is a certain philosophical elegance to minimalist portfolio design: letting art and creativity speak for itself.

Heh – did Six Revisions realize that your post and the previous post (two days prior) cover the same topic and show several of the same sites? Silly.

Your post says less but I like it more because I hate the word “undesigned.” It implies cheap and easy, and I’d wager most of these took as much time as any good web design does.

Very nice sites – I’m actually not a big fan of #1 because it’s very hard to read and I prefer more color. The design is nice, but the font sizes/contrast are hard to read and it reminds me of the endless grey skies in the winter here in Oregon. Really love #11 and second #16.

Thanks for sharing!
