I think the vast majority of these designs are butt ugly and detract from the usefulness of the sites. Brochureware is sooooo 1998. And that’s what these designs are.

@EG: “To you might seem butt ugly, for someone else what might be a huge source of inspiration. Slight to great touches of retro style, these designs have. And unique, their typography is. Hmmmmmm. Awesome, not all of them are but admire I do, the ‘thismanslife’ and ‘The Thomas Oliver Band’ sites.”
