12 Free & High Quality Burnt Paper Textures

In this set, you’ll find 12 completely free, high-resolution, and large-scale paper textures that feature burn marks. They have a very liberal Creative Commons license so that you can use them in any manner you choose, whether it’s personal or commercial.

The burnt paper textures can be used in many ways such as in website backgrounds, adding textures to design compositions, and much more. Since they’re all 2,896px by 1,944px in size, they’re big and can be rescaled down for most purposes.

You can find various sizes of each texture file by clicking on its title or preview image below; doing so will bring you to their own Flickr pages where you can download the texture files that interest you. Alternatively, you can browse the entire Six Revisions Burnt Paper Textures set on Flickr.

Hey, thanks for the textures, these will work out great for me!

That said, is there anyway to collect these files into a zip or some other archive format? Right now we have to

1. click the link to Flickr

2. then click “all sizes”

3. then click the Original size since it defaults to “Large”

4. then click the download link.

This isn’t exactly hard work, especially using tabs, but it could be a lot more efficient. I’m not sure of the licensing issues involved. Are you allowed to collect these works into one archive?

Also, I don’t really care for Flickr, so I don’t use it much. Perhaps there’s a quicker way to do this that I’m just not aware of? Thanks, again!

@John G: Thanks for bringing that up and appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your thoughts on this. Six Revisions used to offer them in one big ZIP file but found that most people only need a few of the photos. Also, Flickr offers several sizes (including the original size) without you having to re-size them.

If anyone else has issues with the freebies format – please do speak up so that we can reconsider how best to distribute them and make them better and tailored to your preferences.

Ahh, that makes total sense.

I am the type of guy that usually downloads them all thinking I will use them later on, but I’m sure you know your audience best. If most people prefer it that way then I’m all for it, just keep ‘em coming LOL.

Thanks again for the links!

Nice collection there. I found them a bit repetitive though. Could have done with some more variation. However, the textures are hi-res and that makes them suitable for printing.

I would prefer a zip file to be honest.
