		<description>Hi, why not just do the &#039;diagonals&#039; in the final step with the same color as of the bottom on the first background? it just results on a more uniform transition, but again it may just be related to the color used since I used different colors for mine. any other than that is a great tutorial.</description>

GIMP is a good free alternative to Photoshop, and it is compatible with Linux as well (you might even have it on your Linux system already, as versions such as Mint have it pre-installed).It can do most everything Photoshop can, though the UI is a bit rougher.</description>
