I have always been aware of color associations and the use of different colors in advertising to evoke certain emotions, but somehow never gave it much thought when it came to website design color schemes. I’ve mostly used color scheme tools like Color Scheme Generator (http://www.colorschemetools.net/colorschemegenerator) or Adobe Kuler, but only to make sure my website’s color combinations weren’t too crazy. I should probably use more color theory when matching my clothes. :-)

We love all the colors and images used in this post. We believe the white, as said, really is best for design for contrast. Colored backgrounds get clouded. Look at Google for example…

I think this a good article but I like to see some more scientific research on the subject. If the same site used red colour for 1 month and then blue colour for 1 month. what we’re the results on conversions or user opt in rates?
